On Tuesday, June 17th, pilgrims and parishioners gathered for an evening Divine Liturgy for the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage as it came through San Diego in its final week of touring the country. Our parish was was selected to host a Liturgy, along with the two Missions founded by St. Junipero Serra: Mission San Diego de Acala and Mission San Luis Rey.
The Divine Liturgy was served by Fr. Sas and was attended by three Capuchin Friars who are helping to lead the Pilgrimage’s Drexel Route. The Pilgrimage concludes this weekend in Los Angeles at the Eucharistic Congress.
Bishop Robert Prevost, prior to becoming Pope Leo XIV, ordained several priests in this church. We thank the Augustinians at St. Patrick’s for hosting us!
