The just man is remembered with praises, but for you the Lord’s testimony suffices, O Forerunner, for you truly became more honorable than the prophets and were deemed worthy to baptize the One foretold. Then you suffered for the truth and joyfully announced to those in Hades that God appeared in the flesh taking away the sin of the world and offering us great mercy.	Пам’ять праведного з похвалами, а тобі вистачає свідчення Господнє, Предтече, бо ти показався воістину і від пророків чесніший, бо у струях сподобився хрестити проповіданого. Тому за істину пострадав ти, радуючися, благовістив ти і тим, що в аді, Бога, явленого в тілі, що взяв гріх світу і подає нам велику милість.

She who once was barren gives birth today to the Forerunner of Christ, who will fulfill every prophecy. In the Jordan he placed his hand upon the One Whom the prophets foretold, and thus was shown to be the prophet, the herald, and the Forerunner of the Word of God.	Перше неплідна, днесь Христового Предтечу родить, і він є сповненням усякого пророцтва, бо кого пророки проповідували, на того він у Йордані руку поклав; явився Божого Слова пророк, проповідник, разом і предтеча.

Who are we?

We are Ukrainian Greco-Catholics who strive to live and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those of our day.

"First, our identity is the identity of Kyivan Christianity during Volodymyr’s baptism, when the newly established church on the lands of Kyivan Rus’ was a subsidiary of the Church of the Patriarchate of Constantinople and, on the other hand, in communion with the Apostolic See. Our identity is a testimony of the church when Christianity was not divided. Though after all the dramatic events, this identity of our church faced various dangers throughout history and sometimes was not even recognized as a church.

Today, in the third millennium, we also strive to live this identity. So, on the one hand, we strive to further discover and learn about the roots of the church, which was born from St. Volodymyr’s baptism, which is a national church, which is a church of the Eastern tradition according to not only its rites but also its spirituality, canonical and theological heritage. But on the other hand, it is a church that cherishes its communion with the Roman Apostolic See."
